Must Get Faster

Over the past month my lovely sister (Carey Kepler) and I have been meeting with uber speed coach Nate Turner of Sport/Speed Training. We don't touch weights except for the occasional tire or kettle bell for a warm up but Nate always manages to find a new spot on my body to make sore. I think to myself....why are you doing this? Deep down I want to be the best crossfiter I can be. I want to have no regrets and know that I did everything in my power to be the best that I could be at this point in my life. I think back to when I was in high school and the chances I had to be better and more competitive in my sports. It won't be like that again. I may not be the best athlete or crossfiter, but I will be able to say to myself sometime down the road when I'm an old guy that I did everything in my power to be the best that I could at my sport at this time. No Regrets! I will get faster! No! I am faster! I will not rest! No! I do not rest! You better just stay outta my way!

Must Get Stronger

For the past two month's Karen, Lory, and Andrew have been meeting with me once a week to work on strength, conditioning, skill work and on Olympic weightlifting. With the addition of the new SicFit gym I have exclusively moved all my small group and PT athletes into the ever evolving SicFit facility. Why does this matter you ask? Well....let me tell you. It's small, exclusive and I have access to Oly platforms and many other toy's. Oh...and it's bad ass! I had considered not doing the three on one trainings any longer but have found that I love it. I love getting to know the athletes, bonding and watching the progress all of you make right before my eyes. And with the new addition of the SicFit gym my training has gone to new levels. I have recently acquired my UnderGround Strength mentorship and have tweaked and modified my training abilities and love passing it on to you, the athlete.

With all that said, I am asking you the athlete how much you want to grow in your fitness and your ability? Do you want to see how far you can push it, gain strength and get stronger? I'm looking for three athletes that want these things. That want to improve, that want to get stronger and are willing to put themselves to the test. Are you that athlete? If so contact me at zacharythiel@crossfitcentral.com This is exclusively to the athlete that wants to improve and get stronger. So please don't contact unless you are willing to take it to the next level.

SicFit!

The SicFit Austin gym is rockin and we have a lot of fun things to play with. The coolest thing about the gym is that it's brand new. You can feel it's new and that it's at it's beginning stages. I know the gym is on the verge of blowing up, but have know fear. It will be keep small and have a certain in your face, let's get it on attitude. So no huge classes and nothing but hard core Olympic weightlifting and strength training to boot! More classes to be added soon, but I do want to make one thing real clear! The gym will feel fast! If you have any questions, don't hessitate to get a hold of me via email or call any time 806-441-4115.

SPAAAAAAAAARTANS!!!

This was the first of the seven week Spartan Challenge and I am pumped about my team! We are going to kick some ass. Log your food every day, do your extra workouts (even when you don't feel like it) and read your goals every day. Hell, read them several times every day and even say them out loud. Make them your reality! I can't wait to see the gains that everyone will accomplish, good luck everyone!!

Back To Basics

First, let me apologize for the lack of blogging here recently. Could make excuses, but just plainly I've been lazy. Just had to get that out of the way. So two weeks ago a crew of Central coaches traveled to Dirty Jersey to train with the one and only Zach Evan-Esh. Zach is one cool dude even for a Yankee! He is the owner of Underground Strength and it is bad ass. He coaches junior high to college athletes and has them working like machines. I got to watch his athletes train and it is not stop movement from the word go! I learned much and have been implementing much of what I learned into my own training. If you were to walk in to Zach's gym you would think, this isn't crossfit. I want to break it to many of you that there are other ways to train yourselves besides just straight crossfit. There was old school dumbbells, kettle bells, ropes, prowlers and sleds and we used them all. It was a blast! Oh, and there were no bumper plates, go figure. In a word many of you have been hearing lately it was SIC! Look for it to be implemented in a new gym many of have also been hearing about soon!
