Dedicated
Dave and Deb celebrated their two year boot camp anniversary this past January and are still going strong! The two of them have been married for over twenty years and decided they needed to get into shape together, and that's when they came into my life. Dave is one of the top dogs in boot camp and continuously raises the bar for everyone and Deb is constantly improving and pushing herself to new heights. It has been a pleasure to watch the two of them grow in their physical fitness journey and to get to know them as friends as well. Congratulations Dave and Deb!
For many of you that don't know I coach boot camp four days a week in west and central Austin. It is where I got my coaching start and have grown to love and enjoy it greatly. It allows me to be creative in the many ways I enjoy kicking peoples butts into shape and has also allowed me to meet many wonderful, hard working and dedicated people.
Many of the people I coach at Central ask what boot camp is all about, so I will try to explain a little, IT'S TOUGH! We start with the universal warm all of our boot camper and gym athletes do with a few different twists. And then the fun stuff starts! Boot camps are an hour long and a least 50 minutes of it are non stop body weight movements along with med ball work, sprints and stairs thrown in the mix. If you want to get into tri shape, marathon shape or duathlon shape this is the training for you. Many of my boot camp athletes participate in these sports and use Relentless boot camps as their training method. So, I think that should tell you something right there. If you want to try one of my fun and challenging boot camps, or any one of our boot camp's visit www.relentlessbootcamp.com for more info.

Relentless Boot Campers
Meet the 5PM M/W/Th LCRA boot camper's. This group of extraordinary individuals came every class despite this being the hottest summer in Austin's history. They fought through and are going to reap the benefits of training in the hot sun. Are they tough? You bet. Do we have fun? For sure! Are we getting results? Do I really have to answer that question? Heck yea we are getting results! I can't wait to see what the fall is going to bring us. So, if you wanna be apart of a great group of people, who are relentless in the pursuit to better their lives and their health, don't wait and do it now.

TEAM!!!!
6:30PM LCRA Boot Camp showing off there core strength! This boot camp is the first one I started and had only one person in it the first three months of existence. That was three years ago this August and the very first person you see here is Vic. He is my first and original boot camper in and still going strong. The class has obviously grown since then, but most the people in the class have been with me from over a year to at least three months. These guys have made boot camp apart of there lives and workout regiment.

Feeling The Warmth
The spring has sprung, warm weather is abound and getting fit is fun! Cindy getting her sweat on at 5pm LCRA boot camp and loving it. We meet three days a week on top of a parking garage at the LCRA campus on Lake Austin Blvd. We have a hill (the parking garage ramp) and plenty of stairs to run up and down, so the butt kicking is in full affect. Rain or shine, hot or cold, we meet in any type a weather and love it. Whats the point of this post you ask? No point, just wanted to say that I love these people and I'm truly am grateful for their full participation in their health and wellness.

Swingers!!
The ladies at 6:30PM LCRA get their swing on! They brave the cool night air three nights a week to spend some quality time with me and the trusty dumb bell and med ball. The dumb bell swing is a move that gets the whole body involved and works the core like you like it to be done. The swing is performed the same way as the kettle bell swing, so not having a kettle bell is no excuse to not performing the move.

Boot Camp!!
Ya know , I've been thinking about why I love coaching boot camps for a while. It's not hard for me to know why, I just haven't written it down for others to see and read. Boot camps have helped me grow in so many way's. It is quite astounding. I remember the first time I went to a Crossfit Central boot camp to help Jeremy. I had no idea what to expect or what to do. I followed Jeremy around for about two months, learning the warm up, coaching cues and things like that. I probably wasn't ready to coach my own, but Jeremy insisted we needed an evening boot camp and I needed to start it.So I met a young man by the name of Vic at Deep Eddie park and I started to put him through boot camp, just me and him. If it wasn't for UTB's he wouldn't have come. This was a little over two years ago. So, fast forward to now, I coach three boot camps four days a week with thirty people all over Austin, Tx. LCRA boot camp, Bridge Point boot camp and LCRA Corp. boot camp. But the whole point of me writing this is to share with you why I love coaching you guys.
For starters, I get to meet new people and have a positive influence in there lives. It's crazy to me that people look up to me and seek my guidance and opinion. And it's not just about coaching, but life and friendships. For any of you that have spent time away from crossfit with me and have gotten to know me must know that I am a political junky and readily share my opinions, and I do. I love to get to know everyone outside of just training and talking politics or sports. It is fun and it's all light hearted. I have developed a relationship with all of my boot campers and regularly talk with all of them ether on the phone or through email. I also know may of the boot campers have made friends with each other and regularly hang out out side of boot camp. And some of us have been known to go out and take advantage of some of the good watering holes around Austin. So aside from all the positives everyone gets from the boot camps, we develop friendships and learn how to push each other and encourage one another.
So, there are some of the reasons I enjoy coaching boot camps so much. I get to meet wonderful and inspiring people and get to see them change there lives and be apart of it. I hope for some of you sitting on the fence trying to decide if you should come to a boot camp take what I've said here and consider all the positive I just mentioned. It could very easily change your life and meeting you will most likely play a role in mine.

The New Month Is Here
The new month is upon us, the air will be getting cooler hopefully and the days are starting to get shorter. So if your still on the fence about joining boot camp, GET OFF!! The time is now to change your life, feel better and meet new people. I don't want to hear how it's to early, it's to hot, I don't have time, hog wash!! Boot camp IS a challenge, sometimes IT does hurt and yes it is hot but so what. Getting yourself back into shape isn't easy, or trying something new can be a challenge, you just have to want it bad enough. Do you? Lets find out, boot camps are under way but it is not to late for you. Go to crossfitcentral.com and come and join me. If one of my boot camps doesn't fit your schedule then find one that does. Why Crssfit Boot Camp?

I've been asked,"why should I do boot camp? I go to the gym, work up a sweat. I don't need to workout outside." Well if your worried about working out outside then your right. You don't need to come to boot camp, because you will get dirty, you will get bit by a mosquito, and you probably will get a sticker in your hand. And yes guys, you will probably get beat by a girl sometimes. But not to worry, it's about more than the sweat and bug bites. It's about competing with your self, pushing your self beyond what you thought you could. And you have others around you going through the exact same thing, wanting to quit and giving me the finger. You will build relationships and become friends with your fellow boot campers. In a way your soldiers in the same platoon, and I'm the captain making sure you get the job done right. Everyone pushes each other, encourages each other, and makes sure you get the job done.
The work outs are quick, multiple moves, and non stop. I promise you wont get bored and in the end you wont want it to be over, unless your laying in a pool of your own sweat and can't move because your thighs are on fire. So I pose the question, why not do boot camp? Answer, because you have never done anything like it, or pushed your self as hard. So with that said, I dare you to come try it out.
